About this Talk

Colonel Shusko served as President Ronald Reagan's Helicopter Pilot, then became the Director of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Center of Excellence (MACE). His story will inspire you, and share how the Marine Corps evolved from teaching only a violent "LINE" protocol, to infusing character development into the warrior training that embraces martial arts. In his final service to the Corps, Colonel Shusko was tasked to lead functional fitness efforts on behalf of the Commandant of the Marine Corps, against great cultural challenges internally among senior leadership. Joe's stories will help shape your perspectives on the importance of fostering strong culture among warfighters and maintaining a warrior ethos to propel innovation in the defense industry.
