Russ is the Founder and CEO of Long Capture. Formerly, Russ served as an Active Duty Captain in the Air Force as a Contracting Officer where he gained $2 billion in federal acquisition and leadership experience. During his service he lead teams of buyers that purchased services, commodities, construction, and research and development contracts.
His company helps tech startups win funding opportunities with the Department of Defense through opportunities such as the SBIR program. Additionally, Long Capture supports several innovation hubs, software factories and accelerators in the Air Force.
Russ holds a Masters of Science in Entrepreneurship from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Management from the United States Air Force Academy.
